Greetings, our dear community members! As planned, today on August 5 we conducted an important update of our ecosystem, and are pleased to announce that we have completed a swap of $SOUL for $LIS tokens!
Initially we knew that the idea of combining gaming and blockchain would be difficult to implement on the Ethereum blockchain: high fees and large blocks create a high threshold of the necessary technical requirements to process thousands of transactions per second with the lowest possible latency, which are incredibly necessary to create a full-fledged gaming ecosystem
At the end of 2020, we started working on the current implementation of our blockchain based on Substrate technology, which perfectly fits into the technical functions we need. We called it the Realis Network. Developing a balanced and effective network requires correct mathematical calculations, and combining the in-game and on-chain economy to create a growing and developing platform would be impossible with the current implementation of $SOUL token.
We have planned the transition to a more advanced and efficient model which will allow the economy of the meta-industry Realis and our games Merge Cats, Crypto Dragons and the upcoming Legends of Listeria.
From CryptoSoul to Realis
Today we have finally taken the first step towards launching our decentralized economy on the Realis blockchain by replacing $SOUL tokens with $LIS. Each account which held $SOUL has been credited with $LIS at 25:1 ratio. For example, if your balance was 250 $SOUL, now it equals 10 $LIS, and so on.
During the swap we’ve replaced 628 213 021 $SOUL by 25 128 520,84 $LIS for 537 741 users of Merge Cats and Crypto Dragons, as part of our migration to the native blockchain in August-September 2021. If you want to swap your native $SOUL to $LIS, you can use the bridge on our website.
The $LIS token is currently a futures contract which will be replaced by a 1:1 cryptocurrency asset once our network is live. $LIS won’t be traded or listed anywhere until the full migration to the native network.
With the current release, we’re stopping support of $SOUL tokens in Merge Cats and Crypto Dragons games. From now on the $LIS token is the only currency used in our games. If you missed the swap, don’t worry, you can swap them later on our website with the ratio mentioned above.
Future Plans
In the coming weeks we will be releasing a lot of content about our upcoming game — Legends of Listeria. Besides that, we will share details of a unique play-to-earn model based on decentralized staking and governance voting that we have developed. You should also expect a global update for the gameplay and interface of Merge Cats and Crypto Dragons. Remember, that is only the beginning of our long journey!
